Summary

Delete a document or folder from the Exado library, optionally recursively deleting folder contents.

Inputs

• Document ID (required) — ID of the document or folder to delete.
• Recursive — Whether to recursively delete all contents if the ID points to a folder.

Output shape

a single JSON object confirming deletion or details of the deleted entity

If deleting a folder, the 'recursive' flag must be true to delete all nested contents. The operation returns the API response JSON confirming the deletion.

Examples

Example 1: Delete a single document by its Document ID

Provide the 'Document ID' for the target document; leave 'Recursive' unchecked.

Example 2: Delete a folder and all its contents recursively

Provide the 'Document ID' for the folder; set 'Recursive' to true to delete folder contents.
