Summary

Set the value of a bot field on a ManyChat page by its name, either by selecting from an existing list of bot fields or by manually entering the field name.

Inputs

• Bot Field (required) — Specify the bot field to set either by selecting from a list of existing bot fields or by entering its name manually.
• Field Value (required) — The value to assign to the specified bot field.

Output shape

a list of objects containing the API response data from setting the bot field by name

The operation posts to the /fb/page/setBotFieldByName endpoint and returns the API response directly. Errors are returned as failure messages unless the node is set to continue on fail.

Examples

Example 1: Set a bot field value by selecting the field from the list

Choose 'Select from List' for the bot field, pick the desired field from the dropdown, and provide the new value.

Example 2: Set a bot field value by entering the field name manually

Choose 'Enter Name Manually' and input the exact bot field name (case insensitive), then provide the new value.
