Summary

Generates speech from plain text or SSML using a HeyGen Starfish-compatible voice, by sending a request to HeyGen’s speech API.

Inputs

  • Authentication — Choose OAuth2 (the default and recommended option) or a legacy API key.
  • Text (required) — Plain text or SSML to convert to speech. The operation trims whitespace and rejects an empty value.
  • Voice ID (required) — Starfish-compatible voice ID. The operation trims whitespace and rejects an empty value; use List Voices with Engine Filter set to Starfish Only to find compatible voices.

Output shape

One n8n item per input item, with the HeyGen API response in its json field.

Calls POST /v3/voices/speech. Errors stop execution unless Continue On Fail is enabled; then the affected item contains {"error":"..."} in its json field.
