Summary

Create a goal in Strety with a title, check-in type, and owning space. Optionally set details such as its assignee, dates, parent goal, project, or target values, then return the created goal.

Inputs

• Title (required) — Descriptive title for the goal.
• Check-In Type (required) — Choose With No Target, With Target, or With Project to determine how progress is tracked.
• Space ID (required) — UUID of the owning person, project, or team.
• Space Type (required) — Type of the owning resource: Person, Project, or Team.
• Additional Fields — Optional assignee ID, company-wide flag, description, due date, parent goal ID, project ID, start date, start and target values, and value format. Project ID applies to With Project; start and target values and value format apply to With Target.

Output shape

A single created goal record.

The source pack identifies the shared JSON:API create handler but does not show enough of the handler body to establish the exact returned fields.

Examples

Example 1: Create a goal with no target

Provide a title, choose With No Target, and supply the owning space ID and type.

Example 2: Create a goal with a numeric target

Choose With Target and optionally set start value, target value, and value format.

Example 3: Create a project goal

Choose With Project and optionally provide the project ID.
