Summary

Start a job on a specified target using a chosen API and optional parameters, initiating the job without waiting for its completion.

Inputs

• Target Name or ID (required) — Select the target where the job will run, either from a dropdown or by providing an ID via expression.
• API Name or ID (required) — Select the API definition to use for the job, either from a dropdown or by providing an ID via expression.
• API Parameters — Optionally provide key-value parameter pairs for the selected API; parameters without values will default if defaults are defined, otherwise an error for missing parameters occurs.

Output shape

a single record containing the job ID and the initial job status

Returns JSON with properties 'job_id' (string) and 'status' (string). The operation does not wait for job completion; it immediately outputs job identification and status for tracking.
