Summary

Retrieve a single story by its ID from the Strapi CMS, with options to include related data such as tags, articles, and user information.

Inputs

• Story ID (required) — The unique identifier of the story to retrieve.
• Populate Relations — Specify which related entities to load along with the story: none, tags only, articles only, both tags and articles (full), or custom selection.
• Relations to Load — When using custom populate mode, select specific relations to load, such as tags, articles, the user who created the story, or the user who last updated it.

Output shape

a single story record, optionally including related entities as specified by the populate options

The returned story data format depends on the populate relations selected. If no relations are loaded, only the story record with no related data is returned. Selecting relations may increase response size with nested related records.

Examples

Example 1: Get a story with full details including tags, articles, and user info

Set Story ID to the desired story's ID and Populate Relations to 'Full'. The node returns the story with all specified relations loaded.
