Summary

Remove the background from an image using AI-powered processing, producing either a cutout image, a mask of the foreground object, or a layered PSD file.

Inputs

• Image URL (required) — URL of the image to process; image dimensions must not exceed 6000×6000 pixels and must be hosted on an accepted domain (amazonaws.com, windows.net, dropboxusercontent.com, assets.frame.io, storage.googleapis.com).
• Mode (required) — Mode of background removal specifying output type: 'cutout' to remove background and return cutout image, 'mask' to return foreground mask, or 'psd' to return a layered PSD file.
• Options — Optional parameters affecting output including Output Media Type (JPEG, PNG, WebP, PSD), Trim (whether to crop image to cutout border by removing transparent pixels), Background Color (color to replace transparent background, with RGBA components), and Color Decontamination (removes colored reflections on subject left by background).

Output shape

a JSON array with one item containing the processed image data in binary form encoded as a base64 string or a URL to the processed image, depending on the execution environment.

The output format and content depend on the selected Mode and Options. For example, selecting 'psd' mode returns a layered Photoshop PSD file, and 'cutout' mode returns the image with background removed. The node returns one output item per input item processed. Errors produce an error message in the output if 'Continue On Fail' is enabled.
