Summary

Create a 5day.io subtask under a specified parent task. Provide the project, task type, parent task ID, and subtask name; optional fields can set assignment, dates, status, progress, tags, links, and other work item attributes.

Inputs

• Project Name or ID (required) — Select a project or provide its ID; the available task types and other project-specific choices depend on it.
• Task Type Name or ID (required) — Select the type for the new subtask or provide its ID.
• Parent Task ID (required) — The parent task's human-readable ID as shown in 5day.io, such as PRO-1.
• Subtask Name (required) — Name of the subtask to create.
• Additional Fields — Optionally set an assignee, billable or non-billable budget type, custom fields JSON, description, due date, estimation, linked tasks, priority, progress, section, start date, status, story points, or tags. Due dates are checked against the start date when both are provided; story points are validated from 0 to 99.99.

Output shape

A single item containing the API response data for the created subtask.

The node sends a create request for each input item and pairs each result with its input item. Errors stop execution unless Continue On Fail is enabled; then an item with an error message is returned for the failed input.

Choose the project and task type, enter the parent task's human-readable ID and a subtask name, then optionally add relevant fields such as assignee, dates, status, or tags.
