POST → Create a Record

AI-generated

Summary

Create a record in the selected AirProcess model by sending a POST request with a JSON, form-encoded, form-data, binary, or raw body. The node generates a UUID for the record’s id field in JSON and form-based modes, replacing any supplied id.

Inputs

  • Model Name or ID (required) — Select the AirProcess model or provide its ID; the request is sent to that model’s route.
  • Body Content Type — Choose JSON (default), Form URLencoded, Form-Data, N8n Binary File, or Raw for the request body.
  • Specify Body — For JSON bodies, choose to enter a JSON object or build it from model fields. In either mode, the node adds a generated id.
  • Body / Fields — For JSON mode, provide the body as JSON or add field names/IDs and values. The body parameter is required in JSON mode; fields can be added individually.
  • Body Parameters — For URL-encoded or multipart form-data modes, add model field names/IDs and values. The node adds a generated id to these payloads.
  • Input Data Field Name (required) — For binary mode, name the incoming binary property to send as the entire request body (default data).
  • Content Type — Set the Content-Type for binary mode (default application/octet-stream) or raw mode (default text/plain).
  • Body (required) — For raw mode, enter the request body content.
  • Options — Configure redirects, SSL certificate handling, full response headers/status, result limit and skip, maximum redirects, HTTP error handling, proxy, and timeout. Defaults include following redirects, a 50-result limit, skip 0, and a 30-second timeout.

Output shape

A single n8n item containing the HTTP response body, or the full response when requested.

The request uses the required AirProcess API credentials. The node’s response options can include headers and status or allow non-2xx responses; the operation source does not otherwise define a specialized response shape.

Examples

Example 1: Create a record using selected model fields

Select a model, choose JSON body mode “Using Fields Below,” and provide field names/IDs and values. The node sends them with a generated id.

Example 2: Create a record from incoming binary data

Choose “N8n Binary File,” set the incoming binary property name, and optionally set its Content-Type. The selected binary data is sent as the request body.
