Summary

Censor international personally identifiable information (PII) in input data by detecting and replacing sensitive details according to international regulations such as GDPR.

Inputs

• Input Type (required) — Select input data type: File Path for local files, Binary Data from previous node, or Text Data from previous node.
• File Path — Full file path to process when Input Type is 'File Path'.
• Binary Property — Name of the binary property holding file data when Input Type is 'Binary Data'.
• Text Data — Text content to process when Input Type is 'Text Data'.
• Input Data Mode (required) — Choose whether to process all fields in input data or only specific fields.
• Fields to Process — Comma-separated field names to process when Input Data Mode is 'Specific Fields'.
• Censor Character (required) — Character used to replace censored PII.
• Options — Additional settings including custom API base URL, timeout in seconds, and retry attempts on failure.

Output shape

a single JSON object containing the fully censored text or data with international PII replaced by the specified censor character.

The operation processes input which can be a file, binary data, or text. If processing specific fields, only those will be censored. The output is structured JSON reflecting the censored content. Execution relies on the Aparavi API; errors are reported in the output if they occur.

Examples

Example 1: Censor PII in a provided JSON text string containing international personal information, replacing detected sensitive data with block characters.

Set Input Type to 'Text Data', provide the text in 'Text Data' field, set Input Data Mode to 'All Fields' or specify field names, and configure Censor Character as desired.
