Adds plain text as a document to the selected Astrolabe knowledge base. The service processes the text server-side by chunking, embedding, and encrypting it; supplying an External ID replaces an existing document with that ID.

Inputs

  • Knowledge Base Name or ID (required) — Select the destination knowledge base or provide its slug or ID.
  • Text (required) — Plain text to ingest.
  • Additional Fields — Optional document metadata and ingestion settings: Business Date, Title, Source URL, External ID, Chunking mode, Chunking Model (used when Chunking is AI), Facet Overrides (JSON), and Skip Compliance (PII). Facet overrides apply to every chunk and take priority over extracted values. Skip Compliance requests ingestion without PII masking and applies only if compliance is active on the account.

Output shape

A single item containing the API response for each input item.

The operation sends a POST request to the selected knowledge base’s documents endpoint. Optional empty fields are omitted. The node does not simplify this response.
