Insight Subtypes When "Return Top 20 Insights" is disabled, this multi-select property lets you specify one or more insight subtypes to prioritize. Examples include Behavioral Personality Type, Company Business Model, Financial Challenges Ahead, Hiring Trends Open Roles, News Acquisition, Social Media Job Description, Work Experience Recent Job Change, and many others. The node will attempt to resolve and rank these selected subtypes by contextual relevance.

Output

The node outputs JSON data containing the insights retrieved from Autobound’s API. The structure typically includes:

  • Insight details relevant to the specified contact or company.
  • If multiple insight subtypes are requested, the output may contain an array of insights ranked by relevance.
  • Metadata about the request and response may also be included.

No binary data output is produced by this operation.

Dependencies

  • Requires an active Autobound API key credential configured in n8n for authentication.
  • Makes HTTP POST requests to Autobound’s external API endpoint: https://api.autobound.ai/api/external/generate-insights/v1.4.
  • Proper network connectivity to Autobound’s API service is necessary.

Troubleshooting

  • Missing Required Identifiers:
    Error if none of Contact Email, Contact LinkedIn URL, or Contact Company URL is provided. Ensure at least one identifier is supplied.

  • Insight Subtypes Validation:
    When "Return Top 20 Insights" is disabled, at least one valid insight subtype must be selected. Placeholder values are invalid and will cause errors.

  • API Errors Related to Disabled Insight Types:
    If the API returns an error indicating that certain insight types are disabled in your Autobound account, the node will throw a descriptive error message. To fix:

    1. Enable the required insight types in your Autobound account settings.
    2. Or enable "Return Top 20 Insights" to avoid filtering by subtypes.
