Generates a barcode image for each input item from the supplied text and selected format, then stores the PNG as binary data on that item.

Inputs

  • Text (required) — Text or data to encode; the value must be valid for the selected barcode format.
  • Format (required) — Barcode format: AZTEC, CODABAR, CODE 128, CODE 39, CODE 93, DATA MATRIX, EAN 13, EAN 8, ITF, PDF 417, QR CODE, UPC A, or UPC E. Defaults to QR CODE.
  • Width — Output image width in pixels; defaults to 300.
  • Height — Output image height in pixels; defaults to 300.
  • Output Property Name (required) — Binary property to store the generated image under; defaults to data.

Output shape

One output item per input item, preserving its JSON and existing binary properties, with the generated PNG added as binary data under the configured property name.

The image is resized to the configured dimensions and named barcode.png with MIME type image/png. Invalid text or format-specific input raises an error; with Continue On Fail enabled, the item instead contains an error field in its JSON.
