Summary

Create a vendor record in Blackbee AI by sending the required legal vendor name and any configured vendor details to the vendor creation endpoint. Optional fields cover business and payment settings, addresses, bank accounts, remit-to entries, and attachments.

Inputs

  • Vendor Name (required) — The vendor’s legal name.
  • Additional Fields — Optional business type (shown when Is Eligible 1099 is true), default currency, GL code, email, fax, first and last name, 1099 eligibility, net terms, payment mode, phone, tax ID, vendor code, vendor type, and website. Currency, terms, payment mode, and vendor type can be selected from loaded options or supplied by ID; the GL code and remit-to business unit can be selected from a searchable list or supplied by ID.
  • Address — Optional legal address. If provided, Address Line 1, City, Country, State, and ZIP code are required; Address Line 2 and phone number are optional.
  • Bank Accounts — Zero or more bank accounts. Each requires account holder name, account number, and bank name; account type defaults to Checking. Optional details include ERP ID, IBAN, routing number, sort code, SWIFT BIC, and wire routing number.
  • Remit To Infos — Zero or more remit-to entries. Each requires a remit name and can include account number, address, business unit, ERP ID, phone number, and whether it uses the legal address. If an address is provided, Address Line 1, City, Country, State, and ZIP code are required.
  • Attachments — Zero or more attachments. For each, provide the name of an incoming binary property containing the file; the node reads its metadata and sends the attachment type (Contract, Other, or W9), original filename, generated filename, and size.
  • Request Options — Optional request settings for batching, SSL certificate validation, proxy, and timeout.

Output shape

A single API response record for the created vendor.

The operation sends a POST request to /ap-api/vendor/create. Before sending, it converts remit-to business-unit selections to a businessUnits array, resolves country and state codes to labels in legal and remit-to addresses when matches are available, and replaces attachment binary references with file metadata. Attachments require the named binary property on the incoming item.

Examples

Example 1: Basic

Use the default vendor resource and Create operation. Set Vendor Name to Acme Corp. Leave all optional fields empty.

Example 2: Full

Create a vendor with contact information, an address, multiple bank accounts, remit-to entries, and attachments. Ensure each attachment's named binary property is present on the incoming item.
