Summary

Replace all fields of an existing contact identified by its UID in the specified address book with new values for names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, and additional fields.

Inputs

• Address Book Name or ID (required) — Select the address book containing the contact by name or ID.
• Contact UID (required) — Unique identifier (UUID) of the contact to fully update.
• First Name (required) — Contact's first name. At least one of first or last name is required by the server.
• Last Name — Contact's last name.
• Phone Numbers — One or more phone numbers with types (e.g., Cell, Home, Work). Empty values are filtered out.
• Email Addresses — One or more email addresses with types (Home, Work, Other). Empty values are filtered out.
• Addresses — One or more physical addresses with details like street, city, ZIP, state, and country.
• Additional Fields — Optional fields such as birthday, categories (comma-separated), middle name, note, organization, photo URL, prefix, suffix, title, and URLs (comma-separated).

Output shape

a list with a single object representing the updated contact's details or error information

The operation sends a complete replacement PUT request to update the contact. All fields not specified will be removed. On success, the updated contact data is returned. Errors such as validation or duplicate contact conflicts may be returned in workflow error handling.
