Summary

Save or edit a contact in a WhatsApp session’s address book by posting its number and name to the gateway. You can also request that the contact be synced to the phone’s address book.

Inputs

• Session (Name or ID) (required) — WhatsApp session name or ID.
• Number (required) — Contact’s phone number with country code and area code, digits only.
• First Name (required) — Contact’s first name.
• Last Name — Optional last name; an empty value is omitted from the request body.
• Sync to Phone — Defaults to false. When enabled, also asks the gateway to save the contact to the phone’s address book.
• Request Options — Optional request settings for batching, TLS certificate validation, proxy, and timeout.

Output shape

A single response item from the gateway.

The operation sends a POST request to the session’s /contacts/save endpoint. The source does not specify the response fields.
