Summary

Update an existing ContentStudio post by ID, setting its content, media, publishing details, account targets, and optional platform or approval settings. The update is rejected with HTTP 422 if the post is already published or processing.

Inputs

  • Workspace ID (required) — Workspace containing the post.
  • Post ID (required) — ID of the post to update; obtain it from Post → List.
  • Accounts — Social accounts to publish to. If omitted, accounts may come from the selected content category.
  • Content Text and Media — Text, image URLs, and a video URL for the post. Platform Overrides (JSON) can supply per-platform text, post type, and media; an override's media replaces the common media as a whole. Twitter and Threads thread items can be enabled, and Facebook carousel cards, background, Reel collaborators, Instagram collaborators or trial reel, and LinkedIn title or poll can be configured with their options.
  • Post Type and Publish Type — Choose a platform-specific post type and publish as scheduled, queued, draft, or through a content category. Scheduled posts require Scheduled At; other types get a scheduled time generated as now plus 90 minutes.
  • First Comment — Optionally add a comment and choose its accounts. When main accounts are selected, only overlapping comment accounts are used.
  • Approval — Optionally send for approval with approver IDs and an approval mode, or attach/manage a multi-level approval workflow. These approval methods are mutually exclusive.
  • Label IDs and Campaign ID — Optionally assign comma-separated label IDs (up to 20) and a campaign ID.

Output shape

A single post response item, or multiple items if the API response is reshaped.

The source indicates response transformation can produce multiple output items for some responses; exact fields depend on the ContentStudio API response.
