Summary

Fetch a block or document from Craft by specifying its Block ID or, when using a Daily Notes credential without a block ID, by date to retrieve the daily note for that day.

Inputs

• Block ID — The ID of the block or document to fetch. Required when using a multi-document credential. Can be discovered using the List Documents operation.
• Daily Note Date — When using a Daily Notes credential without providing a Block ID, fetches the daily note for this date, formatted as YYYY-MM-DD or as a relative date string like "today".
• Fetch Options — Optional parameters to control output format, fetch depth, and whether to include metadata. Contains:
• Output Format — Choose between 'JSON' or 'Markdown' formats for the fetched content. Defaults to JSON.
• Max Depth — Maximum depth of descendant blocks to fetch. Use -1 to fetch all levels.
• Fetch Metadata — Include metadata such as creation and update timestamps if set to true.

Output shape

a single JSON object or Markdown string representing the fetched block or daily note.

The output shape depends on the selected Output Format option; JSON outputs structured data, Markdown outputs formatted text. If using Daily Notes credentials without a Block ID, the date controls which daily note is fetched. Errors during execution are thrown or returned depending on 'Continue On Fail' settings.
