Summary

Generate a document file using a specified Documentero template and dynamic JSON data, returning the generated file content as binary.

Inputs

• Document Template Name or ID (required) — Select or provide the Documentero template name or ID to be used for document generation.
• Data Source (required) — Choose the source of data to populate the document template: either enter JSON directly or use JSON from the incoming workflow item.
• Data (JSON) — When 'JSON Editor' is selected as Data Source, provide the JSON data to fill the template fields. You can obtain the JSON structure from the Documentero app's template overview.

Output shape

a list of items each containing JSON metadata from Documentero API response and a binary property with the generated document file

Each output item corresponds to an input item and includes the generated document content as base64-encoded binary data prepared for further use (e.g., saving or sending). In case of failure, the error is returned in JSON if 'Continue on Fail' is enabled; otherwise, the operation throws an error.
