Summary

Search a Docutray knowledge base for documents matching a query.

Inputs

• knowledgeBaseId (required) — ID or selected name of the knowledge base to search.
• query (required) — Search string (max 1000 characters).
• limit — Maximum number of results to return (default 50).
• similarityThreshold — Minimum similarity score for results (0–1, default 0.7).
• includeMetadata — Whether to include document metadata in the results (default true).

Output shape

array of n8n items

Each returned item contains the raw API response under its json property. The response format is whatever Docutray returns for a knowledge‑base search (typically an array of matching documents with optional metadata).

Examples

Example 1: Find the top 10 documents about configuring authentication.

Set Knowledge Base to your Docutray KB, Query to '¿Cómo configurar el sistema de autenticación?', Limit to 10, leave Similarity Threshold and Include Metadata at defaults.
