Summary

Create up to 35 Exist.io attributes in one request. Choose API Token or OAuth2 authentication and provide each attribute’s group, label, manual-tracking flag, template, and value type as needed; empty strings are omitted from the request body.

Inputs

• Authentication (required) — Select API Token or OAuth2 credentials.
• Create Items (required) — Add up to 35 attributes. For each, set Group, Label, Manual, Template, and Value Type. Label and Value Type are described as required for custom attributes; leave Template blank to define a fully custom attribute. Value Type can be Integer, Decimal, String, Time of Day, Period (Ms), Boolean, Scale, or Percentage.
• Request Options — Optional batching, SSL certificate validation, HTTP proxy, and request timeout settings. Batching defaults to 50 items per batch with a 1000 ms interval.

Output shape

A single response item containing the API response for the attribute creation request.

The node sends a POST request to Exist.io’s /attributes/create/ endpoint. The source does not specify the response fields or whether the API returns one result per created attribute.

Example 1: Create a custom numeric attribute

Add an item with a group, label, Manual setting, blank Template, and Integer or Decimal Value Type.

Add an item with its Template name and any desired group, label, or Manual setting.
