Exotel Make Call to FlowInstall

Summary

Initiate an outgoing phone call via Exotel that first calls a specified number and connects it to a defined call flow URL, using various call configuration options.

Inputs

• From (required) — The phone number to be called first, preferably in E.164 format.
• Caller ID (ExoPhone) (required) — Your Exotel Virtual Number or Exophone that appears as the caller ID.
• Flow URL (required) — The URL of the Exotel Flow or app to run after the call connects, formatted as http://my.exotel.com/{your_sid}/exoml/start_voice/{app_id}.
• Call Type — The type of call to place, either 'trans' (Transactional) or 'promo' (Promotional); defaults to 'trans'.
• Time Limit (seconds) — Optional maximum duration of the call in seconds, up to 14400.
• Timeout (seconds) — Optional timeout period in seconds to wait while ringing both call legs.
• Status Callback URL — Optional webhook URL to receive POST updates about the call status.
• Custom Field — Optional custom string passed back in your Passthru or Greetings applet for reference.

Output shape

a list of JSON objects, one per call attempt

Each output item contains the parsed XML response from the Exotel API with call connection details on success, or an error object with status and message if the call attempt failed.
