Summary

Update an email template in Follow Up Boss

Inputs

• authentication — Authentication method to use for the Follow Up Boss API request. Defaults to API Key if not specified. Choose between API Key or OAuth2.
• id (required) — ID of the template to update. Choose from the list, or specify an ID. Supports two modes: By ID (enter a numeric ID) or From list (select a template from your account).
• name (required) — Name of the email template.
• subject (required) — Subject line of the email template.
• body (required) — Body content of the email template. Supports HTML formatting.
• updateFields.isShared — If set to true, the email template will be shared with other users in the same Follow Up Boss account. Defaults to false.

Output shape

The operation returns the updated email template object from the Follow Up Boss API, including the template's ID, name, subject, body, and sharing status.

The resourceLocator for the id parameter supports two modes: 'By ID' requires a valid numeric ID (validated as [0-9]+), and 'From list' allows selecting a template from the account using the getEmailTemplates search method.

Examples

Example 1: Update an existing template by its numeric ID.

Set id to a valid template ID (e.g., 12345), provide name, subject, and body, leave updateFields.isShared at default false, and select the appropriate authentication method.
