Summary

Send an approved WhatsApp template to the required phone number, with components supplied through inferred template slots, the visual editor, or JSON. The chosen template and language determine which templates and variable slots are available.

Inputs

• Access Mode — Choose Instance to use the instance token from the credential, or Admin to select an instance using Instance Name or ID.
• Instance Name or ID — Required in Admin mode; select or enter the instance to send from.
• Phone Number (required) — Recipient number with country code and no leading plus sign.
• Template Name or ID (required) — Select or enter the approved template to send.
• Template Language Name or ID (required) — Select or enter the language for the chosen template.
• Specify Components — Choose inferred Template Variables, the Components editor, or JSON. In Variables mode, add an entry for each slot declared by the selected template; entries can provide text, media links, filenames, or button payloads. The editor lets you define body, header, or button components and their ordered parameters. JSON mode accepts a components array.
• Options — Set a custom message ID; otherwise the ID is generated automatically. A reply-to message ID can also be supplied, but requires Reply To Participant.

Output shape

A single n8n item containing the API response for the sent template message.

Component input precedence is JSON over template variables over manual components. The source pack shows component builders and the API request flow but not their function bodies, so the precise response fields and additional runtime validation are not established here.
