Summary

Retrieve multiple categories from a Gambio shop using various filtering, sorting, and pagination options.

Inputs

• Authentication (required) — Choose between Basic Auth (admin email and password, compatible with v2 and v3 APIs) or Bearer Token (JWT from Gambio Admin, v3 API only) for authenticating the request.
• Additional Fields — Optional query parameters to filter, sort, and paginate the categories returned. Includes:
• changed: datetime to return categories changed since this date
• deleted: datetime to return categories deleted since this date
• fields: comma-separated list of specific fields to return
• modified: datetime to return categories modified since this date
• page: zero-based page number for pagination
• perPage: number of results per page (default 50)
• recursive: boolean to include child categories/products recursively
• search: keyword to search categories
• sort: string to define sort order (e.g. '+sortOrder', '-name')
• Request Options — Node-level HTTP request options such as batching controls, SSL validation bypass, proxy settings, and request timeout.

Output shape

A list of category records with fields depending on the specified 'fields' query parameter or default full data.

Supports pagination with 'page' and 'perPage' query parameters. Users can filter results by date fields or search keywords. Recursive option includes nested child categories/products. Authentication method choice may affect API version compatibility.

Examples

Example 1: Retrieve first 20 categories changed since Jan 1, 2023, sorted ascending by name.

Use Basic Auth authentication; set Additional Fields with changed date '2023-01-01T00:00:00Z', page 0, perPage 20, and sort '+name'.
