Summary

Generate a Gamma artifact—such as a presentation, document, social post, or webpage—by providing input text and configuring text modification, formatting, card setup, images, sharing, and output options.

Inputs

• Input Text (required) — The base text content used for generating your Gamma output. Must be 1 to 750,000 characters. Example: 'Pitch deck on deep sea exploration'.
• Text Mode (required) — Specifies how the input text is processed: rewrite and expand ('Generate'), summarize ('Condense'), or retain exact text ('Preserve').
• Format (required) — Select the desired output artifact type: Document, Presentation, Social, or Webpage.
• Additional Options — Optional settings including additional layout instructions, card splitting method, export format (PDF or PPTX), folder IDs to store the Gamma, number of cards, and theme ID.
• Text Options — Options to customize text amount per card (brief to extensive), tone, audience, and language of the Gamma content.
• Image Options — Control image sourcing (e.g., AI Generated, Unsplash, Giphy, no images), AI model for image generation, and style descriptions for generated images.
• Card Options — Settings for card dimensions (aspect ratios vary by format) and detailed header/footer elements including text, images, and their positioning, with options to hide headers/footers on first or last cards.
• Sharing Options — Configures workspace and external access permissions for the Gamma, and allows sharing directly via email with specified recipients and access levels.

Output shape

a JSON object representing the generated Gamma artifact, including generated content, cards, images, metadata, and sharing information.

The output JSON includes detailed generation results from the Gamma API. The operation may throw errors for invalid inputs (empty or over length text), API authentication issues, quota violations, or server errors. Use the generation ID from the output to check generation status if needed.
