Research → Get Phrase Alerts

AI-generated

Summary

Fetches one page of HackNotice research alerts for a saved phrase or filename search, with optional extra filters and a time window applied. Returns the matching alert records as n8n items.

Inputs

  • phraseResearchSavedSearch — Saved phrase search to load, chosen from a list fetched from the API or given as an expression. Its stored filters form the base request body. If the saved search's endpoint is "filename", the filename search endpoint is used. Otherwise the phrase/term endpoint is used. Leaving it empty starts from an empty body.
  • timeRange — Limit by Time: None (default), Last Day, Last Week, Last Month, or Custom Date Range. Any value other than None removes the saved search's own date fields (hours_ago, startdate, enddate and variants). Last Day sets hours_ago=24. Last Week and Last Month set startdate to that day at local midnight.
  • startDate (required) — Start of the custom range. Shown only when Limit by Time is Custom. Sent as a YYYY-MM-DD startdate. An invalid date throws an error.
  • endDate (required) — End of the custom range. Shown only when Limit by Time is Custom. Sent as a YYYY-MM-DD enddate. An invalid date throws an error.
  • alertAdditionalFilters — JSON object merged over the saved-search filters, so its keys override them. Must be valid JSON and an object, or the node errors. Date fields are still overridden by Limit by Time.
  • alertPage — Zero-based page index (default 0). The API returns up to 50 alerts per page.

Output shape

A list of n8n items, one per alert returned for the requested page. Each item is paired with its input item.

Only the single requested page is fetched. The operation sends no Return All or Limit fields, so those use defaults and at most 50 results come back per page. To get more, increase Page Number, for example in a loop. Results are taken from the response array, or from its data, results or items field. Errors surface as API or operation errors.

Examples

Example 1: Daily check for new alerts matching a saved phrase search

Select the saved phrase search, set Limit by Time to Last Day, and leave Page Number at 0.

Example 2: Pull alerts for a fixed audit period

Select the saved search, set Limit by Time to Custom Date Range with Start Date and End Date, and add Additional Filters JSON to narrow the results.
