Summary

Create up to 1,000 audience contacts from a delimited email list or per-contact JSON rows. Apply shared and row-specific properties, list memberships, and topic subscriptions; optionally merge submitted properties into existing contacts.

Inputs

• Input Mode (required) — Choose Email List to provide shared batch settings, or Per-Contact Rows to provide each contact as JSON.
• Emails (required) — In Email List mode, enter up to 1,000 email addresses separated by commas, semicolons, or newlines.
• Contacts (required) — In Per-Contact Rows mode, provide a JSON array of up to 1,000 rows. Each row requires email and may include properties, list_ids, and topics.
• List ID — Optionally attach every created contact to this list.
• Properties — Set custom property values shared across the batch; each property name must be defined for the team.
• Batch Options: List IDs — Attach every contact to up to 50 lists using comma-, semicolon-, or newline-separated IDs.
• Batch Options: Topics — Provide up to 50 topic subscriptions as a JSON array of {"id":"...","subscription":"opt_in"|"opt_out"}; subscription defaults to opt_in. Row-level opt_out takes precedence over batch-level opt_in.
• Batch Options: Update Existing — When enabled, merge submitted properties into contacts that already exist. When disabled, existing contacts keep their properties but are still attached to requested lists and topics.

Output shape

A list of created or processed contact records.

Contacts are created in a batch. Existing contacts may be included according to Update Existing; the operation also applies requested list and topic associations.
