Overview

This node integrates with the Xing API to interact with various resources such as profiles, companies, jobs, and messages. Specifically, for the Companies resource and the Get Company Jobs operation, it retrieves job listings associated with a specified company on Xing.

This node is beneficial when you want to automate the retrieval of job postings from a particular company on Xing, for example:

Properties

Output

The output is a JSON object containing the job listings for the specified company as returned by the Xing API. Each item in the output corresponds to one input item processed and includes:

• json: The JSON response from the Xing API representing the company's jobs.
• pairedItem: Metadata linking the output to the corresponding input item.

No binary data output is produced by this operation.

Dependencies

• Requires an API key credential and OAuth2 authentication configured for accessing the Xing API.
• The node uses the base URL https://api.xing.com for all requests.
• Proper permissions/scopes must be granted to the API credentials to access company job data.

Troubleshooting

• Common issues:

  • Invalid or missing Company ID will cause the API call to fail.
  • Insufficient API permissions or expired OAuth tokens can result in authorization errors.
  • Network connectivity problems may prevent successful API calls.

• Error messages:

  • "Unknown operation: getCompanyJobs": This indicates a misconfiguration of the operation parameter; ensure "Get Company Jobs" is selected.
  • API error messages related to authentication or invalid parameters will be passed through; check your credentials and input values.

• Resolution tips:

  • Verify that the Company ID is correct and exists on Xing.
  • Ensure the API credentials are valid and have the necessary scopes.
  • Use the "Continue On Fail" option to handle errors gracefully during batch processing.
