Summary

Generate a report artifact from a specified notebook in a chosen format, optionally customizing instructions, output language, and source content selection.

Inputs

• Notebook ID (required) — The ID of the notebook from which to create the report.
• Report Format (required) — The format of the report to generate; options are Briefing Doc, Study Guide, or Blog Post.
• Instructions — Optional extra instructions appended to the report prompt to customize the generated report.
• Language — Output language code (e.g., en, ja, fr) for the generated report.
• Source IDs — Comma-separated list of source IDs to include in the report. Leave empty to use all sources from the notebook.

Output shape

a list containing one or more report artifact objects, each representing the created report with its metadata (e.g., artifact ID); no binary data is returned directly by this operation.

The result corresponds to the created report artifact. If multiple items are processed, results are returned as a flattened list. Errors can be per-item if 'Continue On Fail' is enabled.

Examples

Example 1: Create a briefing document report from all sources in a notebook, in English, with additional instructions.

Specify the notebook ID, select 'Briefing Doc' as the report format, provide any optional instructions, and leave Source IDs empty to include all sources.
