Summary

Clean input text by optionally replacing consecutive whitespace with a single space and trimming leading and trailing whitespace, then store the result in a specified output field.

Inputs

• Text (required) — The text string to process.
• Collapse Whitespace — Whether to replace consecutive whitespace characters with a single space. Defaults to true.
• Trim — Whether to remove leading and trailing whitespace from the text. Defaults to true.
• Output Field (required) — The name of the field in the output item JSON to store the cleaned text.

Output shape

a list of items where each item's JSON contains the original fields plus the cleaned text under the specified output field

The operation produces one output item per input item preserving original fields and adding the cleaned text. If an error occurs and 'Continue On Fail' is enabled, the output item contains an 'error' field instead.
