Social Post → Create
AI-generatedSummary
Create and schedule or save as drafts one or more social posts in a single batch, applying a shared approval status and optional platform controls. Each post targets a connected social account and can include text, an optional first comment, uploaded media, and a scheduled time.
Inputs
- status — Status for every post in the batch: Draft or Scheduled (default).
- approvalStatus — Approval state for every post: Approved (default) or Pending Approval.
- posts (required) — Add one or more posts. Each requires text content and a connected Social Media Account ID. Optionally set an ISO 8601 Scheduled At time, a first comment, and media. Media can be entered as UI items or a JSON array; each item uses an uploaded file's S3 key, type (IMAGE or VIDEO), sort order, and optional video cover timestamp. Media upload keys can be obtained with File > Get Upload URL. If no media is supplied, the post is sent without media.
- controls — Optional platform controls applied to all posts in the batch. Includes Facebook content type and Reel collaborators; Instagram collaborators, grid setting, and publish type; LinkedIn document attachment key and title; Pinterest board and link; TikTok interaction, music, disclosure, draft, and privacy settings; an X retweet URL; and YouTube category, Short, made-for-kids, playlist, privacy, tags, thumbnail, and title settings. Collaborator and tag lists are comma-separated. Pinterest requires a board ID. The LinkedIn attachment key cannot be combined with post media. When an X retweet URL is provided, post content and media are ignored.
Output shape
One output item per created post when the API returns an array; otherwise one item containing the API response object.
Each returned item is paired with the corresponding input item. The API request creates the batch at PostFast; platform-specific first-comment support and account restrictions are described in the node fields. When Continue On Fail is enabled, a failed input yields an item with an error field.
