Summary

Retrieve RapidPro message history, optionally filtered by contact UUID, direction, and creation date range. Return either up to the configured limit or all available results.

Inputs

• Return All — When enabled, retrieves all pages of messages. Defaults to false.
• Limit — Maximum number of messages to retrieve when Return All is disabled; defaults to 50, with a declared range of 1–250.
• Filters — Optionally filter by Contact UUID, Direction (all, incoming, or outgoing), After date, and Before date.

Output shape

A list of message items, one n8n output item per message.

Each output item contains a message record in its json field. If Return All is disabled, the node requests one page using the configured limit; when enabled, it follows pagination until no next page remains. With Continue On Fail enabled, an item-level error object may be returned.
