Create Image
AI-generatedSummary
Generate images by sending the model and prompt to the CLI Proxy Web image generations endpoint. Configure image count and rendering options; choose file output for n8n binary data or URL output for the API response as JSON.
Inputs
- Model — Image generation model; defaults to
gpt-image-2. - Prompt — Text prompt describing the image to generate.
- Options — Optional settings: number of images (
n), size, quality, background, output format, response format (fileorurl), compression, moderation, streaming, and partial image count. Additional Body merges extra JSON fields into the request, overriding matching fields.
Output shape
One n8n item per generated image in File mode; otherwise a single item containing the API response as JSON.
File mode is the default: image bytes are emitted as binary property
data, with image metadata in JSON when returned by the API. In URL mode, the operation returns the response as JSON. File mode forces streaming off; partial image count is sent only for non-file responses when greater than zero. Errors stop the operation unless Continue On Fail is enabled, in which case an item with anerrorfield is emitted.
