Summary

Searches SEC EDGAR filings for matching full-text terms or phrases, optionally narrowed by filer, filing date, form type, or location. Returns matching filing documents ordered by relevance, newest, or oldest.

Inputs

• Query — Search terms; quoted phrases match exactly, while bare words are treated as a bag of terms. It can be left blank when using other filters. Search coverage starts in 2001.
• CIK — Restrict results to one filer by CIK; a ticker is also accepted in this field.
• Ticker — Restrict results to one filer by ticker.
• Date From — Earliest filing date to include, in YYYY-MM-DD format. Coverage starts in 2001.
• Date To — Latest filing date to include, in YYYY-MM-DD format.
• Form Types — Restrict results to a filing form type, such as 10-K.
• Location — Restrict results by EDGAR's two-character location code, including alphanumeric codes for foreign jurisdictions.
• Page — Select a results page, with 100 documents per page. Pages are capped at 100.
• Sort — Choose relevance, newest, or oldest order; defaults to relevance.

Output shape

A list of matching SEC filing documents.

Each page contains up to 100 documents. The index limits searches to the first 10,000 results; page numbers are capped at 100.
