Summary

Performs a Shodan search query and returns matching host records.

Inputs

• query (required) — Search query string, e.g. 'apache country:US'
• additionalFields — Optional collection of extra parameters such as facets, limit, page, and minify
• requestOptions — Optional network options including proxy, timeout, and batching settings

Output shape

an object containing a matches array of result objects

Results are paginated via the page parameter; additional fields may be omitted; errors follow the standard Shodan API error format
