Summary

Create a ShortGenius video from drafted scene content, with publishing destinations and optional generation and scheduling settings. The API renders the video asynchronously; use the returned data to track its status or the video.completed webhook to detect completion.

Inputs

• Connection IDs (required) — Comma-separated publishing connection IDs; each value is trimmed and sent as an array. Find IDs with Connection: List.
• Title (required) — Video title.
• Caption (required) — Description shown beside the video when posted to social media.
• Scenes (JSON) — Optional JSON array of scenes, typically from a draft. The node parses this value before sending it; the UI notes it is not required for Quiz videos.
• Content Type — Video content category, such as Custom, News, Quiz, or History. Defaults to Custom.
• Aspect Ratio — Vertical (9:16), horizontal (16:9), or square (1:1); defaults to 9:16.
• Image Style ID — Optional image style ID; leave blank to let the AI choose. Find IDs with Image: List Styles.
• Voice ID — Optional voice ID. Find IDs with Voice: List.
• Soundtrack ID — Optional soundtrack ID. Find IDs with Music: List Tracks.
• Publish At — Optional ISO 8601 timestamp for scheduled publishing.

Output shape

A single n8n item containing the API response object for the created video.

Video rendering is asynchronous, so the response does not indicate that rendering has finished. Poll the video with Get or subscribe to the video.completed webhook to detect completion.
