Summary

Create an asynchronous Soniox transcription job from an uploaded binary, a public audio URL, or an existing Soniox file. The operation returns the job IDs immediately; use Get Job Status and Get Transcript in later steps to check progress and retrieve the transcript.

Inputs

  • Job Source (required) — Choose Binary Property, URL, or Existing File ID. Defaults to Binary Property.
  • Binary Property (required) — For Binary Property, the name of the input item's binary property containing the audio or video file; defaults to data. The node uploads the file to Soniox before creating the job.
  • Audio URL (required) — For URL, a public audio URL that Soniox's servers can access.
  • File ID (required) — For Existing File ID, the ID of a file already stored in Soniox.
  • Model Name or ID (required) — Transcription model, loaded from Soniox or entered as an ID; defaults to stt-async-v5.
  • Additional Fields — Optional transcription settings: client reference ID; general context as JSON or structured key-value entries; context terms and text; translation terms as JSON or structured source-target pairs; language identification, speaker diarization, language hints and strictness; one-way or two-way translation settings; and webhook URL with optional authentication header name and value. For each context field with both legacy JSON and structured editors, use only one representation.
  • Options — Optional local limits for file duration and binary file size. A zero value disables that check; duration checks require available metadata. Soniox account quotas and limits still apply.

Output shape

A single item per input item, containing the Soniox job creation response plus a transcriptionId field and, when the source is an existing or newly uploaded file, a fileId field.

For binary input, the node uploads the file to Soniox, then creates the transcription job. URL input sends the URL directly; existing-file input reuses the given file ID. This operation does not poll for completion or return a transcript. If job creation fails after a binary upload, it attempts to delete that uploaded file.
