Summary

Perform a Google Scholar search using customizable query parameters to retrieve academic and scholarly search results.

Inputs

• Search Query (required) — The main keyword or phrase to perform the search on Google Scholar, e.g., 'pizza'.
• Language — Sets the interface language for returned results, defaulting to English (en).
• Language Restriction — Restricts results to a specific language code.
• Safe Search — Enables or disables safe search filtering of search results.
• Enable filter — Determines whether to enable or disable search result filters.
• Scholar Scope — Specifies the scope of the scholar search.
• Year From — Filters results published from this year onward.
• Year To — Filters results up to this year.
• Citation ID — Filters results related to a specific citation ID.
• Sort by Date — Sorts results by date or relevance within the last 24 hours or by default.
• Cluster ID — Filters results within a particular cluster ID.
• Exclude Citations — Enables or disables filtering out citations from the results.
• Review Articles Only — Filters results to review articles only.
• Start Position — Sets the index of the first result to return (pagination start).
• Results Per Page — Determines how many search results are returned per page.
• Extra Parameters JSON — Allows additional Google Scholar search parameters to be passed as a JSON object for finer control.

Output shape

a list of JSON objects representing individual Google Scholar search results with normalized fields

The results are paginated via 'Start Position' and 'Results Per Page' inputs. Returned data is normalized through Talordata SERP API and includes scholarly metadata where available.

Examples

Example 1: Search for publications on 'machine learning' in English published from 2018 to present, returning 20 results starting at the first.

Set 'Search Query' to 'machine learning', 'Language' to 'en', 'Year From' to 2018, 'Results Per Page' to 20, and 'Start Position' to 0.
