Summary

Send a Telegram text message to a chat or Saved Messages, optionally replying to another message and attaching a photo, video, or document. The operation returns a lightweight item with the sent message details and preserves the input item’s other fields.

Inputs

  • Send to Saved Messages — When enabled, sends to your Saved Messages and ignores the Chat ID field.
  • Chat ID (required) — The target username, invite link, or numeric chat ID; required unless sending to Saved Messages.
  • Message Text — The message body. The node handles recognized Markdown-like and HTML formatting; otherwise Telegram uses the selected Parse Mode.
  • Parse Mode — Choose HTML or MarkdownV2 parsing for the message text when the node does not detect formatting that it converts itself. Defaults to MarkdownV2.
  • Reply to Message (ID) — Positive message ID to reply to; 0 sends without a reply.
  • Show Web Preview — Controls link previews for URLs in the message; enabled by default.
  • Attach Media — When enabled, uploads a file from the selected Binary Property, or downloads and uploads Media URL if that binary property is absent.
  • Media Type — Choose Auto Detect, Document, Photo, or Video. Auto Detect infers the type from binary MIME type or, for a URL, MIME type and URL extension.
  • Binary Property — Name of the input binary property to upload; defaults to data.
  • Media URL — Optional public HTTP/HTTPS URL used when the selected binary property is missing. If neither source provides a file while Attach Media is enabled, the operation fails.

Output shape

One output item per input item, with a single JSON record and no binary output.

The output JSON includes messageId, chatId, date, text, rawText, hasMedia, mediaType, status, action, isReply, and replyToId, with nulls for applicable unavailable fields. It also retains the input item's lightweight Telegram and moderation fields. With Continue On Fail enabled, failures are returned as an error field in an output item.
