Summary

Retrieve messages from a WhatsApp chat using the WapiZap API.

Inputs

• main (required) — The incoming items that trigger the operation; each item is processed individually.

Output shape

main

Each input item is returned with an added JSON field containing the fetched messages (typically under a messages key). If no messages are found, an empty array is returned.

Examples

Example 1: Get the latest 20 messages from a specific chat.

Set Chat ID to the target WhatsApp chat ID, Limit to 20, and keep API Version as default (v2). Provide the Instance Name configured in your credentials.
