Summary

Create a new workspace within a specified Terraform Cloud organization, with optional detailed configuration parameters.

Inputs

• Organization (required) — Terraform Cloud organization name where the workspace will be created.
• Name (required) — The unique workspace name (slug) to create.
• Options — Optional settings for the workspace including description, execution mode, Terraform version, VCS repository configuration, variables, tagging, and run-related flags (e.g., auto apply, speculative enabled).

Output shape

a single object containing the API response details for the created workspace, including any created variables.

Returns the full JSON response from Terraform Cloud API after creating the workspace and, if variables are defined, includes responses for each created variable. Errors such as missing required fields or invalid configurations (e.g., missing agent pool ID for agent execution mode) are thrown during execution.
