ValueMinerInstall

Summary

Lists the tools exposed by the configured ValueMiner MCP endpoint. Emits one output item per tool, using the tool definition as returned by the server.

Inputs

None.

Output shape

A list of items, one per tool. Each item's json is the tool object from the MCP tools/list result, with at least a string name. Other fields the server supplies, such as description or inputSchema, are passed through unchanged.

Each output item is paired to the input item that produced it. The node runs the operation once per input item, so N input items return the full tool list N times. Entries without a string name are dropped. If the server returns no tools array, no items are output. Each run opens a new MCP session (initialize, then notifications/initialized, then tools/list) using the valueMinerApi credential. An MCP error response fails the node. With Continue On Fail enabled, an item with an error message is output instead.

Example 1: Discover which ValueMiner tools are available before building a Call Tool step.

Resource: Tool, Operation: List Tools, with the valueMinerApi credential. No other parameters.

Example 2: Filter the tool list downstream to check that a specific tool exists.

List Tools followed by an IF or Filter node on {{$json.name}}. Place a single trigger item upstream so the list is returned once.
