AI-generatedSummary
Sends an image to a WhatsApp number through a W-api instance by posting an image URL, with an optional caption, to the W-api REST endpoint.
Inputs
- instanceName (required) — Name of the W-api instance that sends the message. It is used in the request URL path.
- number (required) — Recipient number with country code and area code, with no + or spaces (e.g. 5521999999999).
- imageUrl (required) — URL of the image to send. It is passed to W-api as-is.
- caption — Caption text for the image. Defaults to an empty string, and is always included in the request body.
- sendOptions — Collection of optional fields merged into the request body. Empty values are dropped. The fields are delay (ms), quotedMessageId, quotedFromMe, quotedText, mentionAll, mentionNumbers (comma, space or semicolon separated) and previewLink.
Output shape
One output item per input item, with the W-api JSON response in json.
The node sends a POST to
{baseUrl}/message/sendImage/{instanceName}with theapikeyheader from the wapiApi credentials. The body is {number, imageUrl, caption, ...sendOptions}. The response shape is whatever the W-api server returns. If 'Continue on Fail' is enabled, a failed item returns {error: message} instead of stopping the workflow.
