Get Table Data
AI-generatedSummary
Reads rows from a table on a WAX smart contract via the chain API's get_table_rows call, with optional bounds, limit, key type and index selection. Read-only; no signing or private key is used by this operation.
Inputs
- Contract Name (required) — Account that owns the table (sent as
code), e.g. eosio.token or atomicassets. - Table Name (required) — Name of the table to query.
- Scope (required) — Table scope, usually an account or contract name.
- Lower Bound — Optional start of the key range. Use an account name for the name key type or a number for i64.
- Upper Bound — Optional end of the key range, same format as Lower Bound.
- Limit — Maximum rows to return (minimum 1, default 50).
- Key Type — Type of the index key: i64 (default), i128, i256, float64, float128, name, sha256 or ripemd160.
- Auto Convert Account Names — Shown only when Key Type is i64 (default on). Converts bounds that look like account names (1-12 chars of a-z, 1-5, '.') into numeric i64 values. Purely numeric bounds are left unchanged.
- Index Position — 1 for the primary index (default), 2 or higher for secondary indexes. Sent only if it is 1 or greater.
- API Endpoint (required) — WAX API base URL, default https://wax.greymass.com.
Output shape
One output item per input item, containing success, operation, contract, table, scope, the queryParams sent, originalBounds, convertedBounds, autoConvert, rows (the table rows array), more and next_key.
Rows are returned in ascending order only (reverse is hardcoded to false), and payer information is not included. Use
moreandnext_keyto page through results by setting Lower Bound to next_key. If a name cannot be converted, or the request fails, the item throws an error. With Continue On Fail enabled, the item instead returns {success:false, error, details}. The node also runs a license check before executing.
Examples
Example 1: Look up a wallet's token balances on eosio.token.
Contract Name=eosio.token, Table Name=accounts, Scope=
Example 2: Page through a contract table starting at a specific account.
Contract Name= Set Index Position=2 and a Key Type matching that index (for example i128 or sha256), with bounds in that format., Scope=
Example 3: Query a secondary index.
