Summary

Sends a binary file as a WhatsApp media message to a phone number through the WhatsApp Gateway API. It can infer the media type from the binary MIME type, or use a selected type, and includes optional caption, sender JID, and typing delay.

Inputs

• Phone Number (required) — Recipient phone number.
• Binary Property (required) — Name of the incoming item’s binary property containing the file; defaults to data.
• Media Type — Select Autodetect, Image, Document, Audio, Voice, or Video. Autodetect maps image MIME types to image, audio types and video/ogg to audio, video types to video, and other types to document.
• Caption — Optional caption sent with the media.
• Sender JID — Optional JID of the sender device.
• Typing Delay (Seconds) — Optional delay before sending, from 0 to 15 seconds; only positive values are sent to the API.

Output shape

A list of JSON items containing the API response for each input item.

Uploads the selected binary file with a POST request to /api/chat/send-media. Explicit image, audio/voice, and video selections are checked against the binary MIME type; document has no corresponding MIME check. Files with .exe, .sh, .bat, .cmd, .js, .vbs, .scr, or .com extensions are rejected. On failure, the node throws unless Continue On Fail is enabled, in which case it returns an item with an error field.
