Summary

Create a new WordPress user by providing required user credentials and optional additional user details.

Inputs

• Username (required) — Login name for the user
• Name (required) — Display name for the user
• First Name (required) — First name for the user
• Last Name (required) — Last name for the user
• Email (required) — The email address for the user
• Password (required) — Password for the user (never included in output)
• Additional Fields — Optional additional fields including description, nickname, roles (default to subscriber), slug, and URL

Output shape

a single user record object reflecting the newly created user including provided and additional fields

Only the input password field is used internally and not returned in the output. All other provided fields, including additional optional ones, are returned in the created user object.

Specify Username, Name, First Name, Last Name, Email, and Password

Specify mandatory fields plus Roles and Nickname in Additional Fields
