Summary

Create a refund for a specified order in either Shopify or WooCommerce, returning money back to the customer.

Inputs

• Platform (required) — Choose the e-commerce platform: Shopify or WooCommerce.
• Store URL (required) — The URL of the store to connect to.
• API Key / Consumer Key (required) — API Key or Consumer Key for authentication.
• API Secret / Consumer Secret — API Secret or Consumer Secret required only for WooCommerce.
• Order ID (required) — The ID of the order to refund.
• Full Refund? — For Shopify, if true, refund the full amount automatically.
• Currency — For Shopify, currency code (default USD); required if Full Refund is false.
• Refund Line Items — For Shopify when Full Refund is false, specify line items (Line Item ID and Quantity) to refund.
• Amount (required) — For WooCommerce, specify the refund amount (e.g., 15.50).
• Reason — For WooCommerce, specify a reason for the refund.

Output shape

a single record

Returns details of the created refund transaction. The response depends on the platform API's refund creation result.

Examples

Example 1: Refund a full Shopify order

Set Platform to Shopify, provide Store URL, API Key, Order ID, and set Full Refund to true.

Example 2: Refund specific items on a Shopify order

Set Platform to Shopify, provide Store URL, API Key, Order ID, set Full Refund to false, specify Currency, and list Refund Line Items with their IDs and quantities.

Example 3: Create a refund in WooCommerce

Set Platform to WooCommerce, provide Store URL, API Key, API Secret, Order ID, Amount for refund, and optional Reason.
