Summary

Render an image from a Polotno Studio template by supplying its dynamic fields and optional output settings. By default, wait for completion and return the render result; you can disable waiting to return the job immediately.

Inputs

  • Template (required) — Choose a template from the list, enter its tpl_ ID, or provide a Polotno Studio template URL.
  • Fields — Map values to the selected template’s dynamic fields. Unset, empty, or unrecognized field values are omitted from the render request.
  • Options — Set the output format (PNG by default; JPEG or PDF are also available), pixel ratio (1–10, default 1), and whether to use a transparent background (default false; PNG only).
  • Wait for Completion — Defaults to true. When enabled, the node waits for the render to finish and returns its latest result; Max Wait (Seconds), default 120, limits polling time. When disabled, it returns the submitted job immediately.
  • Additional Fields — Metadata (JSON), defaulting to an empty object, is attached to the render and echoed back on completion.

Output shape

One output item per input item, each containing the render result as JSON.

With waiting enabled, the result may be completed, failed, partial, or still pending if the maximum wait is reached. With waiting disabled, the node returns the initial job response. If Continue On Fail is enabled, an item-level error is returned as {"error":"…"}.

Examples

Example 1: Render a social graphic using a template’s dynamic fields

Select the template, map its text and image fields, keep PNG and pixel ratio 1, and wait for completion to receive the render result.

Example 2: Start a render and handle completion separately

Set Wait for Completion to false to return the job immediately, then continue using the Polotno Studio Trigger.
