Summary

Retrieve detailed information about a specific zone by its ID from the Prey API.

Inputs

• API Key Permission — Select the permission level ('Read-Only' or 'Read & Write') matching your API key; only 'Read-Only' is relevant for this operation since it fetches data.
• Zone (required) — Specify the zone by selecting it from a searchable list or by directly entering its ID.
• Request Options — Configure optional request settings such as batching, SSL certificate validation, proxy, and timeout.

Output shape

a single JSON object representing the details of the specified zone

The operation returns one zone object containing its properties as provided by the Prey API. The zone must be identified either by selecting from a list (populated via API) or directly by ID. Request options affect the HTTP request but do not modify the output shape.

Examples

Example 1: Get Zone by selecting from list

Set Permission Level to 'Read-Only' and select a zone by name from the dropdown loaded from your Prey account; the node fetches detailed zone data.

Example 2: Get Zone by ID

Set Permission Level to 'Read-Only' and provide a specific zone ID string; the node fetches detailed zone data for that ID from Prey.
